I’m so happy that you’re here!

I’m Avi, (pronounced Ahh-Vee) – a calligrapher and hand letterer in Ottawa, Ontario. I’m the face, hands, and boss lady behind Avi Scribbles. With a passion for creativity and details, I started this creative business in 2018 while working a full time job in the product design world. Avi Scribbles came to life after I accidentally stumbled across a calligraphy video online. As an engineer who is fairly good at figuring out how things work, I knew it was something I could easily pick up. What I didn’t know at the time was how much my little hobby would take off and become the thriving business that it is today.

Now I happily spend my days serving my clients and supporting their personal and professional dreams. I help businesses hone in on their brand voice through custom branding and logo design and help restaurants and shops scream it out to the world through hand lettered interior and exterior murals, signage, and menus. I also chat couples’ ears off with design ideas after they’ve hired me to bring their wedding invitations, signage, and day-of stationery to life.
